Yamaha SR450S Super Rn'Roller Black 1985
Yamaha SR450S, black, made in Japan 1984-6. We love vintage Yamaha around here, and these Super Rn'Roller models are a really great take on the S-genre. This one has come in from our Yamaha-mad shop tech, and he's done a bunch of hard work that you can now benefit from. The woodwork on these guitars is always very tidy, so this is lightweight, responsive and feels super tidy in the hands. The neck is a very comfy V-C slim shape; it's very classy. The mods include a black single ply guard, a full re-wire with nice guts and a set of Bare Knuckle pickups, which are a treat. They're a medium-hot flat pole alnico single coil, so they sound a little like a Texas Special but with a more balanced, teethy midrange. It's a great sounding guitar, no doubt. Great value to be had here folks: Mark knows how to make a guitar play and sound great.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the end and a dent on the treble edge and front near the decal. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor play wear only. The back has surface scratches on the horns and belly carve and minor scuffs around the whole body. The sides have minor dimples around the whole body and some scuffs along the back edge. The front has scuffs around the bridge and jack and some play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: very good condition (8/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/46 Moonshiners strings.
Fret life: 8/10, minor wear only
